 Project Manager Role: 

 The role is to plan, manage and run multiple small to medium sized software development projects (whether internal or external) to agreed cost and quality criteria to ensure that projects deliver real business benefit in a timely and co-ordinated way. Plan projects and work with Resource Managers to make sure adequate and appropriate resources are assigned. Monitor progress and take corrective actions where necessary. Agree plans with the Programme Board to ensure project(s) plans are realistic and progress can satisfactorily be monitored.   

Communicate to the Programme Board and senior management the progress of project performance against an agreed set of measures at regular predefined intervals.   

Manage and motivate Project Teams to achieve project objectives, balance workload across the team and address barriers and disruptions   

Set clear objectives for individual Project Team members.    

 Essentials: 

Good interpersonal skills. Liaison by formal and informal means with staff of all levels. Builds lasting working relationships and shows consideration for colleagues.   

A facilitative management style and experience in team building, motivation, and objective setting.   

Experience of managing a portfolio of projects in a similar or larger organisation.   

Obtained PRINCE 2 Foundation or similar qualification.
